MATRI Coaching x VCCP: The Impact of Supporting Working Parents

Supporting employees through parental leave and the return to work isn't just important for individual wellbeing. It's also an investment in retaining experienced talent, supporting career progression and building a workplace where parents can thrive.

VCCP partnered with MATRI to provide structured parental transition support for its employees, helping parents navigate the challenges of leaving work, taking parental leave and returning with greater confidence.

The results demonstrate the business value of investing in meaningful support for working parents.

Real support. Measurable results.

Through MATRI's parental transition coaching programme, VCCP employees had access to coaching, practical resources and community support before, during and after parental leave.

Over the course of the partnership, VCCP's maternity return rate increased from 82.5% to 93%, with nine jobs retained and more than £400,000 in estimated recruitment cost savings reported in the case study.

The feedback from employees was equally encouraging, with 91% saying they felt more valued by VCCP because of the programme, and 95% saying they would recommend VCCP as a supportive employer for parents.

These results highlight how investing in parental transition support can benefit employees while helping organisations retain valuable experience and talent.
